An ice bath chiller machine is a cooling device for cold water therapy. It usually connects to a cold plunge tub or you can connect it to your home bathtub to easily create your own ice bath, quickly chilling the water to 3°C-15°C in hours. People use it for muscle recovery, reducing swelling, or boosting health.

The cooling principle of an ice bath machine is exactly the same as an air-source heat pump in cooling mode. Simply put, it constantly absorbs heat from the water through a process where refrigerant is compressed, condensed, expanded, and evaporated, then transfers that heat “out” into the air outside the machine, making the water icy cold.
